The Emil Schumacher Museum is an art museum and part of the art district in Hagen. It is dedicated to the internationally renowned painter Emil Schumacher, who was born in Hagen.
The glass facade, in an extremely filigree finish, is mounted on vertically arranged steel ropes. The glazing is attached to the vertically tensioned ropes using stainless steel cast brackets. Given the valuable exhibits, the highest requirements in terms of avoiding condensation water were imposed for the facade components. To that end, copper pipes capable of being heated using the hot water system were installed in all glazing joints.
