The new administration building for fashion giant Hugo Boss in Metzingen, near Stuttgart, was enclosed in a double facade covering approximately 43,055 square feet.
The inner facade is executed as a galvanized steel post and beam facade with insulating glass. The cantilevered outer secondary facade is suspended from above using tension rods. The safety glazing is attached at various points to the substructure. The space between the facades is open on the ground floor level. Air circulation and ventilation for the double facade is provided by means of motorized opening elements arranged above the fascia.
